HOW?
How much do I charge for my coaching services?
Firstly I don’t like getting to a website only to find that I cant find out how much it is going to cost me so I have made an effort to publish here the table that I use for calculating how much I charge? However in doing so I am relying on you being honest. All will be revealed but suffice to say that by publishing this information I do leave myself liable to potential ‘blag’. Without a relationship of full honesty you will compromise the effectiveness of your whole coaching programme and hence your whole future! For the sake of a few quid, why bother? Anyway that is my plea for honesty over here is the how of my coaching fees.
For coaching to be truly effective the working rapport must be one of equals. I also truly believe that providing any person gives their all then their time is worth the same as anyone else’s. For both these reasons my fees are variable and are calculated as follows.
On any one coaching session I spend the hour (and sometimes more) with you in the session and at least one additional hour (nearly always more) in preparation and summary work after the session. For these two hours I will charge you the same hourly rate that you yourself charge for your time whether self employed or as an employee. On top of this I add the costs that I incur during the delivery of coaching with you and a % of my ongoing business costs.
I deeply regret however that I have had to finally bite the bullet and set a minimum fee. This minimum fee enables me to maintain a viable business that provides a humble income for my family and I. Without this minimum there is no business and in turn therefore no coaching available anyway. This minimum fee applies to all persons earning below £27,000 per annum.
To all persons earning below £27,000 my apologies for the minimum fee level. As I say above without it I cannot offer coaching anyway. That said I have put discounts in place for those who are not earning and could still use a life coach. I promise to review this minimum amount on an annual basis and reduce it if and when I am able to make sure that I price no one out of coaching if I can help it. If it makes it any easier then perhaps think of the fees in this light. You would spend at least £30 on a night out and the best you are likely to get is a little entertainment and probable hangover. The £30 pound a session you will spend weekly on coaching holds in it the opportunity for a radical overhaul and improvement to your life’s circumstance and potentially the future life you always dream of. In that light it’s a bargain!
To all persons earning above £27,000 and bellow £80,000 per annum. You are getting a bargain whatever my fees for my services work out for you. According to government careers advice the average rate per life coaching session in the UK at present is £50-75. You wont be paying more than that and in most cases significantly less. Stay focused on what you are paying for, the potential to bring about the life you dream of having, and you should be prepared to snap this bargain off the shelf.
For all persons earning over £80,000. If you cant afford my fees at the rates that apply to you then we need to start working on your financial management straight away. Seriously though the extra money, above the average rate for a coaching session, that you folks pay will enable me to subsidise some of the clients that in essence cost me money to work with. I will continue to shoulder my social responsibility as well as i am able on this front and would ask you to please help me to do so whilst at the same time helping yourself. Thank you.
When all that is said and done I am always approachable on the subject of fees and other arrangements including barter, bulk discount for organisations, discount for individuals bulk session booking etc are all potentially negotiable.
Contact me if you have any queries or concerns and please do so in the knowledge that if I can do I will do.
